Each software was first designed to solve one problem. One helped with collaborating. A third made it easier to send in reports. Project boards were then introduced. This was followed by the shared drive. Automation tools came after that. Financial platforms followed. The dashboard was built as well. Then calendar views. Notes were added later. Chats came even later. Lately, you have also been installing several different types of plugins. Today, you are logged into many accounts and have multiple passwords and permissions. And notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of Your Applications Is Likely Assisting You and Also Slowing You Down<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Digital applications were designed to enhance your day-to-day experience. In addition, these applications will provide you with access to tools that allow you to organize your projects. Facilitate communication with your colleagues. Track your work. Provide storage space for files. Allow you to analyze data more effectively. However, the issue arises when too many applications compete for your attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To locate a single piece of information, you typically require multiple screens. This includes accessing a single platform to verify a specific detail. Another way to determine where the relevant documentation exists. Still another platform to view comments related to a particular topic, and finally, another platform to confirm the due date for a project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time you have retrieved all of the necessary information to develop a complete picture of the situation, your concentration has likely been fragmented into smaller parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This may seem counterintuitive since each application has a function. No application, individually, will appear to be a cause for concern. However, it is the spaces in between those applications that generate the costs associated with the gaps between the applications. The shifting back and forth among applications. The search process. Often, it can be difficult to estimate these types of costs, but they have real-world impacts.
